On iOS, AppyTrack uses Apple's official Screen Time / DeviceActivity framework — the same technology used by Apple's built-in Screen Time feature. On Android, it uses the UsageStatsManager API with your permission. No private APIs are used. Your data stays on your device and is sent only to generate your daily report.
Your report arrives at the time you set during setup (or changed in Settings → Report Time). We capture your timezone automatically so it always arrives at the right local time, even if you travel.
Usage data is permanently deleted within 48 hours of your report being delivered. We never store historical screen time data. Your email address is retained only while your account is active.
Yes — you can link multiple devices to the same account using the same email and PIN. Each device appears in your report separately with its own device name.
Watchlist lets you add app or category keywords (e.g. "TikTok", "YouTube", "games"). If any of those apps appear in your daily usage, they'll be flagged with a ⚠️ alert in your report so you can spot patterns quickly.
Age group helps contextualise your report and affects the tone and recommendations in your daily report email — nothing else.
Tap the ⚙️ icon on the home screen, then tap "Forgot PIN? Send to my email" on the PIN entry screen. We'll send a temporary PIN to your registered email. Enter it in the app, then set a new PIN.
Yes — go to Settings and tap Secondary Email. A second recipient will receive the same daily report. They cannot change your account settings — they only receive the report.
Go to Settings in the app and tap Delete Account to stop all future reports and remove all your data.
Go to Settings → Delete Account. Enter your PIN to confirm. If you have multiple devices linked, only the current device is removed. If it's your last device, your account and all data are permanently deleted immediately.
Yes — AppyTrack is completely free. There are no subscriptions, no ads, and no premium tiers. We believe honest screen time awareness should be accessible to everyone.
